Texas toast  

 

 

Ingredients
¾ cup real mayonnaise
4 cups shredded Cheddar Jack cheese
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
¼ cup parsley (fresh or paste)
1 teaspoon seasoned salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
½ cup salted butter
1 tablespoon garlic paste
8 slices Texas toast

 

Instructions
Preheat Oven
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Place a wire rack on a large baking sheet.

 

Make Cheese Mixture
In a bowl, mix mayonnaise, Cheddar Jack, and Parmesan until combined.
Stir in parsley, seasoned salt, and black pepper. Set aside (or chill briefly).

Prepare Garlic Butter
Melt butter in a small pan over low heat.
Add garlic paste and cook for 2–3 minutes until fragrant.

 

Prepare Bread
Arrange Texas toast slices on the rack.
Brush each slice generously with garlic butter.
Add Topping
Spread the cheese mixture evenly over each slice.

 

Bake
Bake for 10–12 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
Optional: Broil for 1–2 minutes for extra golden crispness.


Serve
Garnish with extra parsley if desired and serve warm.
